This is founder Cindy Moon’s journey to bring calming rituals to Australia and beyond.
THE WHY
Cindy Moon, the founder of Muun, has had sensitive, eczema-prone skin and persistent redness for as long as she can remember. After immigrating from Korea to Australia, Cindy spent over 10 years adjusting to a completely different climate. Australia’s dry weather, combined with daily stress and environmental changes, caused her childhood eczema to return. Extreme dryness, ongoing redness, flare-ups, and even hormonal eczema became part of her everyday life.
THE DISCOVERY
She tried countless products and travelled back to Korea multiple times a year for expensive clinic treatments, but the results never lasted. Her skin would react again as soon as she returned to Australia.
That’s when Cindy rediscovered modelling masks — the final step used in 20,000+ Korean skincare clinics to cool the skin, calm inflammation, and lock in hydration.
She also realised they were already widely used by Korean women at home as a trusted calming ritual, not just in clinics.
THE RESULTS
After using modelling masks consistently at home in Australia, Cindy noticed real changes in her skin. Redness became less frequent, flare-ups calmed faster, and her skin felt deeply hydrated without irritation. For the first time, her skin felt soothed, balanced, and resilient — even through weather changes, stress, and hormonal cycles.
Those results made one thing clear: this clinic-grade ritual shouldn’t be limited to professionals or expensive treatments. Cindy decided to bring it to the world and introduce it to Australians and beyond.
THE COMMITMENT
That dream became real in 2025, when she made the decision to quit her six-figure 9–5 marketing manager role and invest $30,000 of her savings to start Muun Skincare. She returned to Korea to meet and work directly with Korean skincare clinic suppliers, developing Muun’s first product — thoughtfully formulated for everyday use and enhanced with Matcha for its powerful anti-inflammatory benefits.
OUR PURPOSE
Muun Skincare’s mission is to introduce lesser-known Korean skincare clinic rituals to Australia and beyond — rituals that prioritise calming, barrier repair, and long-term skin health over quick fixes. Rooted in decades of Korean clinic practices, Muun brings professional-grade soothing treatments out of treatment rooms and into everyday routines.
